MBSi Successfully Completes SOC 2 Type II Audit

I'll be honest: nobody gets into compliance because they love audits. As MBSi's Director of Compliance, I've spent countless hours working with teams across the company on policies, controls, evidence requests, risk assessments,documentation, and all the behind-the-scenes work that goes into a SOC 2 Type II audit. And while I'm incredibly proud to say that MBSi has successfully completed our SOC 2 Type II audit, what excites me most isn't the report itself. It's what that report represents.

It's About Trust
One of the things I appreciate most about working at MBSi is the relationships we've built with our customers. Many of our customers have been with us for years. They rely on our platform every day to support critical business operations, and that trust is something we never take for granted. When organizations choose MBSi, they're not just purchasing software. They're trusting us with data, workflows, and business processes that matter. That's are a responsibility we take seriously. SOC 2 Type II is one way we demonstrate that commitment.

So... What Is SOC 2 Type II?
The quick, non-compliance-nerd version: SOC 2 Type II is an independent audit that evaluates whether a company has strong controls in place to protect customer information and whether those controls are actually being followed consistently over time. In other words, it's not enough to say, "Trust us, we take security seriously." An independent auditor comes in, takes a look under the hood, and verifies that we're doing what we say we're doing. That's the part that matters.

Why Should Customers Care?
Because security isn't just an IT issue anymore. It's a business issue. Every organization today is being asked tougher questions from clients, regulators,business partners, and internal stakeholders about how information is protected. When our customers trust MBSi, they're also putting their own reputation on the line. Completing our SOC 2 Type II audit helps provide assurance that we've invested the time, resources, and discipline needed to protect that trust.

Compliance Isn't About Checking Boxes
One of the biggest misconceptions about compliance is that it's just paperwork. I can tell you firsthand: if all we cared about was checking boxes, this process would be a lot easier. Real compliance is about building repeatable processes,managing risk thoughtfully, and creating a culture where security and accountability are part of everyday decisions. The audit may be the milestone,but the real work happens every day across every department at MBSi. That's what makes this achievement meaningful.

A Team Effort
As proud as I am of this accomplishment, compliance doesn't happen in a vacuum. This audit was successful because teams across MBSi worked together to make security, reliability, and good governance part of how we operate. From IT and Engineering to Operations, Customer Success, and Leadership, everyone played a role. As the person responsible for leading our compliance efforts, I couldn't be more grateful for the partnership and commitment I see throughout the organization.
